WCRB Management is very pleased with our event at the PEM, catered by Hawthorne Catering and we look forward to creating more events to collaborate on. Lindsay Otis was a joy to work with--she did an exceptional job. Kristie Poehler is a first-class director of sales and marketing. It was a pleasure working with her!

Hi Christine:

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how happy we were with
our wedding reception we had at The Hawthorne on May 17. The service,
the food, and the organization that went into the night were all
exceptional. You, along with the rest of staff, truly helped to make it
a night we will never forget.

Thank you again, and best of luck in the future.

Hello, everyone!

Thank you again for everything last week during our offsite.  We all had a wonderful time and we’ve heard nothing but good things about the week, the hotel and Salem.  We really appreciate your flexibility and everything you did to make our event run smoothly.  We will absolutely keep the Hawthorne in mind for future events and I hope we’ll be able to work together in some capacity in the future.

Thank you again! I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and a fantastic summer!!

Best,

The staff are always extremely helpful--Claire and Jessica were both professional and kept things on time. I really appreciate working with Claire. She is the best function coordinator I have ever worked with.

Hi Karen!

Everyone was thrilled with the evening’s festivities!  The menu was great!  Food was delicious (people loved the dessert)  The room set up was perfect and the timing of everything was right on.  The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more efficient.  As usual, you hit it out of the park!  Thank you!

Hi Christine:

Wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the way your people handled the bridal shower I hosted last Saturday. They did an outstanding job, particularly our waiter who was fabulous.

Please pass along to them my compliments.

Hi Christine,

Thank You, Thank You!! The party was wonderful! Thank you for leaving us in the very capable hands of Jessica. She was a pleasure to work with. All of the staff worked very hard. I think Scott the bartender was more popular than we anticipated. I do not know why? ...The majority of the people there were Irish!!!

Everyone raved about the food. It was delicious. Also, I apologize (as I did to Jessica a zillion times) for my sister in laws' last minute request for a special meal. It should have been handled  before then. I hope this did not cause to much of a problem.

Again,  we appreciate all of your help and your hard work helping to make this party such a success! What a wonderful experience we all enjoyed at the Hawthorne Hotel!! My father-in-law was totally surprise, shocked and overwhelmed! It was a great send off!

Thank you again,

Lisa  Carey

Dear Jessica:

We would like to personally thank you for your outstanding service that you provided for our winter wedding on December 29, 2007. Our reception at the Hawthorne Hotel was perfect-from the first steps we took into the hotel through our elevator ride up to our bridal suite. You were right there to greet us in the lobby and were there with us through each moment and transition of the night. Your organization and attention to detail was impeccable. Your professional and courteous manner made it easy for us, our wedding party, and our guests to enjoy the night. You went above and beyond your duties as our wedding coordinator. Each of our vendors, including our DJ, photographers, and videographers, were aware of the timetable during the night, assuring that they stayed on schedule. That is not an easy task! Jessica, it is apparent that you enjoy your job and working with wedding couples. We were so fortunate to have worked with you and receive such exceptional attention on our wedding day. Thank you again for all your time and effort. You helped to make our day one that we will never forget!

Sincerely,

Rainelle and Douglas Comeau

Dear Karen,

Chris and I want to thank you and your whole team for making our wedding a beautiful, unforgettable, and seamless event. Everything went very smoothly, and I was completely at ease in Jessica's very capable hands.

All of our interactions with you and your team were very professional which we also value very highly.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience with the Hawthorne Hotel for our wedding, and would recommend it to everyone we know!

We will send some pictures when we get them, after our honeymoon.

Thank you again,
Chris and Phyllis,

My wife and I stayed in this handsome hotel February 8 - 12th on the recommendation of relatives. We were not disappointed as this has to be one of our most favorite places in this area of the country. The Hawthorne Hotel is a historic hotel opened in 1925 and today, seems to be center of this community with many locals enjoying their Sunday Brunch and meetings during the week. The rooms are small but appropriate for the time it was built and do provide a lot of ambience of New Engalnd. The famous Salem Witch Museum is just across the street and only about four blocks away is the also famous House of Seven Gables made famous by Nathaniel Hawthorne. (Our high school English teachers would be so proud!) One block down from the hotel on Derby Street is a terrific and fun place to eat named the "Beer Works" which is really a sports bar. The staff was extremely fun, hospitable, and really informative about the area landmarks: around the corner from the "Beer Works" is a historic graveyard where even one of the passengers on the Mayflower is buried plus a bench with the inscribed names of those that perished during the witch trials. As mentioned above, the House of Seven Gables and Nathaniel Hawthorne's home are just down the street and the guided tour through these homes is really excellent and informative. By the way, one of the areas most famous and excellent home cooked Italian Bistros named the "Bella Verona" is just across the street from the hotel - we enjoyed it so much that we ate here twice! Likewise, the hotel's restaurant provided an exceptional Sunday Brunch and a great breakfast during the week. I would strongly recommend that everyone stay at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem - exceptional ambience and atmosphere, great on-site restaurant, superior location for history, and great restaurants down the street. We will always stay here if we return to this area.
